VetterTec is a world leading supplier for industrial mechanical dewatering and drying systems for the global First and Second Generation Ethanol and Alcohol Industries. Our decade-long experiences are in the dewatering and drying of residues from distillation processes. Regardless if the ethanol product is based on starch or biomass, we focus on adding value to by-products by supporting our customers with design and supply of individual machines, complete drying systems as well as complex system solutions including mechanical dewatering, drying, milling, cooling, silos and packing.
With focus on product quality, system reliability, energy saving, and emission control VetterTec equipment and solutions are individually adapted for the various needs.
With an experience of more than 90 years VetterTec is working in the ethanol and alcohol industry, VetterTec competences are in the dewatering and drying of residues from distillation processes, mainly. The VetterTec drying solutions are individual adapted and approved for a number of processes for ethanol and alcohol production.
Beside the focus of wheat and corn-based processes, VetterTec has build-up know-how on the processing of the following plants
- barley
- rye
- rice
- cassava
- triticale
- sorghum
VetterTec product portfolio includes the offering of customized and integrated dewatering, drying, evaporation and granulation systems. These systems are a combination of screw presses, dryer and evaporator or dryer and evaporator and are customized to multiply benefits in terms of energy reduction.
Today these systems constitute the market benchmark for minimized energy consumption and maximum integration in customer’s process comprising reuse of energy, thus reduction of CO2 emissions.
A single point responsibility combined with an approved technology responsibility secures a high capital investment.
Main Applications
INDIRECT HEATED DRYING & DIRECT CONVECTIVE DRYING of
- DDGS: High Protein Animal Feed
Usually focussing in the distiller's wash resulting after fermentation and distillation is dried. Afterwards, the distiller's wash can be utilized as a protein animal feed (DDGS).
SPRAY DRYING of
- Yeast
During fermentation yeast will be produced, and can be separated from the mash stream and being dried.
INDIRECT HEATED DRYING & DIRECT CONVECTIVE DRYING of
- Lignin
For advanced straw-based or wood-based biofuel processes during fermentation lignin will be produced, and can be separated from the mash stream and being dried.
MECHANICAL DEWATERING of
- Fibres
- Germs
in front of the dryer
EVAPORATION / CONCENTRATION of
- Thin Stillage
by static convection dryers with a fluidized bed
COMPLETE DDGS SOLUTIONS
- incl. energy integrated evaporator, dryer and granulation system (pelletizer).
- Engineering and supply of all drying, dewatering and evaporation technologies including further components.
